Offering Wide Range Of Burial Options, Designed To Reflect Each Unique Life
At Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, we offer multiple burial options, designed to reflect each unique life. Generally, a burial is combined with a traditional funeral service, which includes a family or public viewing of the deceased. After the viewing, the family can hold a funeral service in the church or at the funeral home. Memorial services can take place nearly anywhere - in your home, in a local park, or even at a sporting event. A funeral director is also an event planner. Whatever your preferences or ideas may be, Walker Sanderson Funeral Home can work to help you create a memorable and meaningful tribute. This service is then followed by the burial of the casketed remains. For more information about our burial services, call 801-226-3500.
Depending on the type of material used, the cost of acan range from several hundred dollars to several thousand dollars. Many cemeteries require that a minimum grave liner be used to encase the casket for underground burial. These minimum liners are constructed of concrete and are designed to hold the weight of the earth, maintaining the cemetery property. A sealed may also be used. The vaults are also constructed of concrete and are designed to not only protect the gravesite, but are manufactured with inner liners that not only restrict the entrance of graveside elements (water and earth) but increase the strength of the vault.
Families may also choose to hold a graveside service with a burial. Typically, this service would follow a time of visitation at the funeral home. The casketed remains would then be transferred to the cemetery where a graveside ceremony could take place followed by the burial.
