Obituary

Addison F.B. Stauffer was born on April 16, 1987 to David and Cathy. Addy is the fourth child of seven-(Patrick (Hettie), Joshua (Val), Blakely (Jacquelyn), Veraunica (Brandon), Collin (Elizabeth) and Bailie. Addy and all of his siblings have always been the very best of friends and from the earliest years and into adulthood they were inseparable. When he was around 2 years old, he fell in love with a "Ghostbusters" figure that he held onto and carried everywhere he went. As he continued to struggle with "Failure to Thrive" and almost constant pain from a number of health issues, Superman became the most incredibly important character to him. Superman was going to make everything better. His room got filled with wall-to-wall and floor-to ceiling Superman. He would only wear red t-shirts and he collected 100+ shirts that were Superman colors or had Superman imprinted on them. Life kept him from lots of it's events but he pushed through all of it. He learned that being courageous and brave was not just reserved for Superman.

His health wavered throughout the entirety of his life and his family and friends were there to support him through those times. There were many times that they thought they would lose him, but he managed to pull through it, regardless of the pain and discomfort. He influenced many people through his bravery and perseverance.

Addy traveled with his family to Yellowstone National Park all but 1-year of his life. His love for adventure made Yellowstone a very special place for him and he looked forward to going every year.

Addison was always the first to apologize when conflict would arise, and he had a special gift for understanding the feelings of those around him and he always wanted to make things better for them. He cared about everyone and showed an interest in everything that mattered to them. Addison is a pure spirit. His innocence gave him the ability to give to others even while often struggling himself. His courage and spiritual strength were beyond our understanding. He has a testimony of The Savior Jesus Christ and of the eternities. He was never angry with God and his frustrations were always directed at his physical ailments. He was a worthy member and Melchizedek Priesthood holder in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He often didn't like his challenges but he knew it was his duty to endure to the end and was ready to go when His Savior was ready to call him home from having served a diligent mission on this earth.

Addy has countless best friends who are all willing to share that title. But on September 3rd, 2022, Addison was sealed for eternity to his very best friend Sierra Williams. They loved each other so much and supported each other through so many challenging moments. Sierra was quickly drawn to Addy's passion for the things in life he loved. She gave strength to him throughout their earthly marriage and they shared countless interests and ideas together.

While asleep on the morning of Friday, February 10th, Addison unexpectedly passed away in his home while with his eternal companion.
