Alleene Ernestine Skinner Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother 1934-2017 Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on the morning of June 28, 2017 in Orem, Utah, at the age of 82. Alleene was born on December 17, 1934 in Los Angeles, CA, to parents William C. and Martha Ernst Molt. Alleene Married William A. Skinner on September 4, 1955, in Los Angeles, CA. Their marriage was later solemnized in the CA Redlands LDS Temple, May 10, 2010. Alleene was a convert to the LDS Church in 2009, and served faithfully in her church callings especially as a loving and devoted visiting teacher. Alleene was a proud resident of CA for most of her life, except for the few years spent in Texas, Virginia and Alaska during Bill's military career. They eventually settled on the Hi-desert of the Morongo Basin, in Yucca Valley, CA. She lived there for over 47 years. She moved to Orem, Utah to receive needed care from her daughter. Being involved in the Elk's Lodge, Emblem Club, Foot Printers, Camper Club, Good Sam's Club, Beta Sigma Phi, and the Hi-Desert Choral Society, gave Alleene many opportunities to enjoy her community through service. Alleene will be greatly missed by all her friends both near and far. Alleene is survived by her daughter Emilie R. Whitehead (Mike) of Orem, UT; sons David A. Skinner (Ann) of BonneyLake, WA and Daniel W. Skinner (Lisa) of Lacey, WA; a sister, Martha Ann Michaels (Howard) of Carlsbad, CA; a brother-in-law Delbert Skinner (Ginger) of Buena Park, CA. She was most proud of her 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Alleene was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Daniel Molt and Allan Molt; her dear husband, William A. Skinner of 53 years; a son Edwin J. Skinner and great-granddaughter, Aleyona. We also add a long list of beloved animal companions, cats, and dogs. The family expresses special gratitude to home-care aid Esther Lawton, also the caring staff at Beehive Homes of Orem, UT; Horizon and Tender Care Hospice services for their exceptional and kind care of mom. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 10 am in the Orem City Cemetery, 1550 North 800 East, Orem, UT.
