Anita Jean Phillips Williams, age 91, passed away peacefully the night of July 14th, 2025, in Orem, Utah. She was born on June 3, 1934 in Provo, Utah, oldest child to Melvin and LaRue Phillips of Provo, Utah. Proceeded in death by her husband Vern LeRoy Williams and daughter Suzie Bailey, siblings: Richard Phillips, Douglas Phillips, and Linda Clark.

Anita and LeRoy were married on September 24, 1952 in the Salt Lake Temple and were blessed with six beautiful children: Barbra Jean Evans (Mike Evans), Debra Mendenhall (Jeff Mendenhall), Thomas LeRoy Williams (Dian Williams), Carl Vern Williams (Steffanie Williams), Susanna Bailey (Brent Bailey), Jennifer Ann Peay (Todd Peay). They were also blessed with 24 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren, and 1 great great-grandchild.

Anita was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in various callings within the church. She and her husband served 2 missions: Stake mission and a mission to Canada, Halifax mission. Together they served as Temple workers in the Mount Timpanogos Temple for many years.

Anita was very talented in many areas such as gardening, quilting, she taught ceramics for many years. She was also a talented seamstress and painter. She had a beautiful voice and was a part of the melodeon and in several quartet choirs, which often performed at the Scera theater and other venues. She was also a Tigerette and in many clubs and graduated from Lincon High School.

Anita was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. Her greatest joy was being around her family and she will be greatly missed.

A viewing will be held July 21, 2025, Monday evening, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, located at 646 East 800 North Orem, Utah.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday July 22, 2025 at 11:00am at the church located at 114 North 400 West Orem, Utah; with a viewing held that morning from 9:30 - 10:30am.

Interment will follow at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, 500 North 100 West in Pleasant Grove, Utah, where she will be laid to rest in the Williams family plot.
