Our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, Ann Grover Mineer, passed away on November 28, 2025 in Provo, Utah.

Ann was born to Roscoe Grover and Lucille Isabella Vawdrey on July 10, 1935 in Murray, Utah, the second of five children. Ann had a "privileged childhood," growing up with brothers and sisters, cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents, all along the same street in Draper, Utah. She attended school in Draper and graduated from Jordan High School with a scholarship to BYU. Following graduation, she attended Brigham Young University and the University of Utah, and graduated with honors (top 5% of her class) from BYU with a degree in English.

Ann was married to Wayne A. Mineer on December 18, 1953 in the Salt Lake Temple. They made a few moves for Wayne's medical training after his graduation from Medical School, and then in 1962 they moved to Provo, Utah, where Wayne set up a family medical practice, and where they lived for the remainder of their lives. Wayne passed away in 2011.

Ann and Wayne were blessed with a family of seven children—six girls and one boy. Ann's greatest enjoyment and first priority in life was her family. She also loved hiking in the mountains, creating a beautiful garden, continual learning, good literature and poetry, classical music, history and playing the organ and piano. She enjoyed belonging to two book clubs, a Shakespeare Study Group, a Literary League and attended Elderquest for many years.

Ann was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints throughout her life. She served with Wayne when he was called as the Georgia Atlanta Mission President from 1985 to 1988. She dearly loved the missionaries who served with them in Georgia and felt this mission was a rich blessing with her dear companion. She was always thrilled to hear from one of their missionaries after they left Georgia.

They served at the Jerusalem Study Center in Israel in 2000-2001, and as Humanitarian Missionaries in Kathmandu, Nepal in 2003.

Ann served as organist at the Provo Temple for 15 years. She completed the Master Gardener's Course at the Utah State Extension Service in 2003, and served as a Garden Guide at the Temple Square Gardens in 2002 and 2003. Wayne and Ann also served in the Provo South Stake Mission.

She was a woman of refinement and continued learning throughout her life. She read an average of 1-2 books a month, but one year managed to read a total of 60 books.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne, her son David, her parents, her sister, Linda, and four grandchildren, Jonathan Leslie King, Sophia Ann Shupe, Melanie Ann Carruthers, and Zachary Stephan Harmon. She is survived by her brothers, Clyde (Lupe) Grover, Kent (Judi) Grover, her sister Deon (Rick) Williams, and her children, Jill (Leslie) King, Kathryn (Stuart) Morgan, Dianne Reese, Shannon (William) Shupe, Lynnette Carruthers, and Lesli Ann Carter. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held December 5, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Grandview South Stake Center, 1122 North Grand Avenue, Provo, Utah. Friends & family visitation at the Stake Center prior to the service, at 9:00 a.m.
