Arthella was born July 16, 1928.  She passed from this world on July 17, 2018.  Her parents were Arthur Alexander and Ella Augusta Newell.  She was the youngest of nine children.  She married Charles Joe Dearing on February 18, 1948 in the Salt Lake Temple. Arthella and Chuck have 6 children:  Newell Craig, West Jordan, Charlene D. Mower (Gary), Orem, Kevin Joe (Jan), Highland, Cheryl, Tooele, Kyle Len (Chris), South Jordan, Ken Arthur (Tammie), Vineyard. She was preceded in death by all of her siblings:  Arthur Artemus Newell, Malinda Ella Carter, Inez Emma Boulder Nash, Alta Mae Hone, LeRoy M. Newell, Willa Myrl Davis, Bernice Dearing, Neil Oscar Newell and grandson Otis Gary Mower, and great grandsons Jarod Kirk and his brother Ethan Craig Jacobs. Arthella has 19 Grandchildren and 27 Great Grandchildren whom she adores. Arthella was born in her parent's home in Orem where her Father and Grandfather homesteaded the land. She was a farm girl, participated in many activities in school, a bus driver for Head Start, and served many callings in the Lord's Church.  She was chorister in her ward and stake for 47 years which she enjoyed every minute of it.  She was an excellent singer and her love for singing showed in the songs she sang. Arthella rode on the tour bus with the Foster Grandparents where she was an active helper to keep the Foster Grandparents singing while traveling to various sites of interest. Arthella and Charles served a successful Family History Mission for the LDS church to Knoxville, Tennessee from 1996 – 1997. She was an excellent example of her religion, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She was always praying for her family and going to church when her body let her do so. Arthella will be greatly missed by many but we know that we will see her again.  She was welcomed in heaven by her husband, parents, siblings and many others that loved her.
