Barbara Wiscombe Roberts, age 89, passed away peacefully among family on Monday, May 12, 2025 in Ogden, Utah.

She was born on July 27, 1935 in Provo, Utah to Morris William and Dorthy (Chipman) Wiscombe. She dated her High School sweetheart Neil Leon Roberts and married shortly after graduating from Lincoln High on January 14, 1954 in the Salt Lake City Temple.

Barbara grew up in the Edgemont area of Provo, Utah and graduated from Lincoln High School. She played the piano from an early age and served as the Mutual organist at age 12. Although she had various church callings, she continued serving mostly with her music and went on to serve as the Sunday School and Ward Organist for several years. While in high school, she accompanied the school chorus, a variety of small musical groups and for the school choral festival competitions throughout the western states. She was also an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed needlework, knitting, crocheting, and quilting with her handy-work represented throughout her family's current possessions.

After graduating high school in 1953, she took her first job as a telephone switchboard operator for Mountain Bell until 1955. After raising all six of her children to school age, she enrolled in the nursing program in 1976 and earned her nursing degree from the Utah Valley Vocational School in Provo, Utah in 1978 and worked at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo, Utah for another year before transitioning to "on-call" or part time nursing for several more years.

Barbara is survived by a brother Russell (Mindi) Wiscombe of Washington, Utah and six children, Rodney (JoDene) Roberts, Mark (Julie) Roberts, Susan (Kurt) Jaussi, Michelle Roberts, Steven (Caroline) Roberts, and Bryan (Angie) Roberts. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to express their many thanks to the entire staff of Belle Vie Hospice and Cogir of Lotus Park Assisted Living and Memory care facility for their loving care and kindness.

A public viewing will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. followed by a memorial service from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 E. 800 N., Orem, Utah. Burial will immediately follow at the East Lawn Memorial Hills Cemetery, 4800 N. 650 E., Provo, Utah
