Barbara Jean Lassen Timothy, 71, of Orem, Utah, passed away peacefully at home on April 9, 2020. Barbara was born October 2, 1948 in Provo, Utah to Thomas Reed Lassen and Bertha Louise Phillips Lassen, and was the oldest of 4 siblings. Barbara was raised in Provo, where she graduated from Provo High School in 1967. Barbara was married to Fred Chavez, during which time they had 2 children, Stephanie and Don. She later married the love of her life, Jerry Timothy, on February 14, 1980 and they were married for 40 years at the time of her passing. Barbara worked in the meat department at Allen's grocery store for many years before moving on to work at Nu Skin Enterprises, where she worked for 15 years before retiring. Barbara had a lifelong passion for music and enjoyed attending concerts. She also loved to read and had gathered quite the collection of books. Barbara loved spending time with her family, whether it was weekend BBQs, going out to dinner, or a family vacation. Holidays were also a favorite because her kids and grandkids would gather. Barbara was so loved by her family and will be dearly missed. Barbara is survived by her husband, Jerry; daughter, Stephanie Tregeagle; son, Don (Marie) Chavez; grandchildren, Tad, Dustin, Kyle, Sophia; great-grandchild, Zander; brothers, Gerald and Dale Lassen; Step-Sister, Denise (Ed) Sanderson; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Reed Lassen; mother, Louise Rasmussen; step-father, Lenard Rasmussen; brother, Alan Lassen; step-brother, Doug Rasmussen, and sister-in laws, Linda and Leslie Lassen. A memorial service will be held for Barbara when it is safer to travel and gather again.
