Obituary

Blake Jeffery Hymas returned to his Heavenly Father on July 29th, 2019 when he passed away at home. A beloved brother and uncle, he is survived by his siblings Scott Hymas (Colette), Marsha Barney (Bret) and Sam Hymas (Sherri). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Mirl and Elaine Hymas to whom he offered constant and loving care during their final years. Raised in Orem, Blake was a 1968 graduate of Orem High School. He continued his education at BYU serving in the ROTC and earning his Bachelors Degree in Accounting. Blake was a successful CPA who owned his own firm for many years before moving into Corporate Accounting. Wherever he worked he earned the respect of both clients and colleagues. Blake retained his love of BYU throughout his life and followed Cougar Sports passionately. He loved to golf with friends. He also became an expert at Family History and loved sharing stories and information with his loved ones. Blake was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served for two years in the Ontario/Quebec Mission. He always made church service a priority serving wherever needed. Blake's kindness, friendship and Christ-like example will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Funeral Services will be Thursday, August 8, 2019, 11:00 a.m., Cascade Ward Building, 400 North 400 East, Orem. Friends and family may visit prior to services 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Orem City Cemetery, 1520 North 800 East, Orem.
