Bonnie Rae Glines
3 September 1946 - 18 April 2021
Bonnie Rae Glines was born September 3, 1946, to Ralph Eugene Roundy and Alice Fowkes Roundy in Ogden, Utah. She passed away of natural causes in the early hours Sunday, April 18, 2021, in Provo, Utah, in the loving arms of her daughter. She was sacredly shepherded back home by her parents and ancestors,. Before she passed, she had a glorious view of what was waiting for her beyond the mortal veil, and had the most beautiful smile on her face as she faithfully passed through the veil of life. It was a sweet and joyous passing.
Bonnie Rae graduated from Western High School in Garden Grove, California in 1964 and enrolled in Long Beach Community College. She married Robert William Glines on August 26, 1966. They had two children together: a son, Robert William Glines, Jr, and a daughter, Allyson Rae Glines. Although the marriage ended, her love for her children ran deep, and she took great pride in being a mother.
As a single parent, she worked both as a realtor, and for Hughes Aircraft Company. For her career, she found that selling cars was exciting, and she was very successful in that field for as long as she could work. She had a voracious desire to learn, had a profound gift for the typewriter, and openly loved everyone she met. She was always known for singing everywhere she went. She was strong-willed, independent, and possessed a sure knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
But her greatest gift of all was her devotion to her parents, brothers, children, and especially her grandchildren. In addition to serving as a primary teacher, she served in one of the most exciting and fulfilling church callings she ever had, the Salt Lake City Service mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She worked on the grounds at Temple Square. Her love for the prophets and apostles was a crucial part of her testimony. Her bright spirit and generosity of love will be greatly missed, but she is happy with all she did and where she is now.
Bonnie is survived by her two children and their spouses: Allyson Rae (Neil) Jensen, and Robert (Shirley) Glines. Five grandchildren; Alyssa Rae Jensen, Chandler Neil Jensen, Vanessa Ariana Glines, Emma Jolie Jensen, and Rachel Alysse Jensen; her eldest brother Ralph (Brenda) Roundy, and Roger (Norma) Roundy, and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Alice Roundy.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the Courtyard at Jamestown whose service was so kind and loving in her final days.
