Obituary

Brayden Christian Olsen left this life on February 2, 2018 to be embraced by his father and hero, Chris Olsen. Brayden came into the world on May 26, 1997 as a happy baby with an infectious laugh and love of adventure that shaped his life to come. Growing into an active, mischievous young boy, Brayden was the center of attention wherever he went from family get-togethers to school and restaurants. Brayden's energy was often channeled through anything with wheels. Toy cars and bikes were an early love but he quickly joined his father and brother on motorcycles. Brayden, Chris and Beau became the three amigos riding hard at the Sand Dunes and then spending hours repairing damage to their bikes when they got home. Laughter and revving engines sometimes came from the Olsen garage late into the night. Hospital visits to repair damage to the riders weren't uncommon either. Brayden was a skater. He practiced ollies in the street out front of his house and later perfected his skills at the Orem Skate Park. Other skaters at the Park became not just friends but extended members of his family. When he died they left this tribute, "Brayden We Love You Madly." The same declaration was posted out front of Juice n Java in Orem where Brayden often met with friends. Early in life Brayden fell in love with music. He sang in the car, practiced guitar in his bedroom, and enjoyed a water proof speaker in the shower. Brayden kept his parent's house rocking, to their delight. But his deepest love was reserved for his mother Heather. Although shy about hugs, he spent hours at the foot of her bed talking or going on car rides with no particular destination in mind other than being together. The love that binds a mother and son cannot be broken. Brayden's family is comforted by faith in the Plan of Salvation that assures that families can be together forever. Brayden we miss you but know that you and your father will be waiting for us when we leave this life.
