Brigitte M. Holdaway passed away on February 4, 2019, surrounded by loved ones.  Brigitte Margarete von Behrensberg was born on July 19, 1947, to Bruno Sielaff and Anna von Behrensberg in Bremen, Germany.  She was educated in Germany and Switzerland, attending the Business Institute of Walla.  She lived in Germany until coming to the United States at the age of 18.  She learned English working at a German deli in the San Francisco area and later became a citizen of the United States.  She held various work positions with her favorite being that of a stock broker.         After relocating to Southern California she met the love of her life and married Wayne Holdaway on April 13, 1974.  They resided in Whittier, California, until Wayne retired and they moved to Utah.  It was the unconditional love given by neighbors that converted Brigitte to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and she was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  A year later she and Wayne were sealed for time and eternity in the Provo, Utah, temple.         Brigitte loved people and animals and was happiest in the company of both.  She was an avid reader and was often found on the sofa or in bed with a book in hand and the cat cuddling next to her.  She was always immaculately dressed, adorned with her favorite jewels, and very often donned a stylish hat.  Perfectly manicured nails were a must.  In contrast, she went on many camping and fishing trips with Wayne and happily played on the floor with her grandchildren.  In spite of many health issues, Brigitte maintained an optimistic outlook and shared her warmth and laughter with many.         Brigitte is survived by her husband Wayne, stepchildren Cherri (Jack) Reynolds, Robin (Bill) Bonner, Wayne (Holly) Gill, Rebecca (Brent) Laidlaw, Ellen (Aaron) Bowman, and Michael (Star) Gill, and brother Karl Volker.  She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Ursula, and brother Manfred with whom she is now happily reunited.                 Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at the Vineyard Stake Building, 422 E.
