Obituary

Our beloved Bryan Merrill Farley, age 44, passed away at his home in Orem on November 3, 2022.

Bryan was born to his wonderful parents, Roger and Jillynn (Pett) Farley, on May 3, 1978 in Provo, Utah. He was the third of seven children and was deeply loved by all who knew him.

Bryan is survived by his wife and soulmate, Karen (Baird) Farley, his two boys Seth Woods and Samson Farley, his parents, Roger and Jillynn Farley, his brothers, Kyle (Angie) Farley and Roger Andrew Farley, his sisters, Heather (Will) Farrar, Marissa (Bracken) Robison and Brianna Farley, his grandmother Darlene (Johnson) Pett and nieces and nephews who love him beyond words. Bryan is preceded in passing by his brother, Kevin Ray Farley and his brother-in-law, William Kenneth Farrar IV.

Bryan was gentle and loving toward animals from his earliest age and continued to care for a variety of pets throughout his life- including his parrot "Sherman".

He had a gentle way with people and was tremendously loyal to his friends and family. His greatest joy was in his role as husband and father. He shared his family's accomplishments with great satisfaction and happiness.

Bryan's home was the center of his life. He could usually be found working in his greenhouse and garden or visiting with loved ones on his backyard patio. He canned the world's finest dill pickles and jalapeño peppers. He loved to share his garden's bounty with others each year. The bottled perfection from his garden and kitchen were treasures that, once opened, never seemed to last long enough.

Bryan was always a builder and became an extraordinary craftsman. He began by building a birdhouse as a young child and was named "Framer of the Year" in 2019 with an award that took him on an all expense paid fishing trip to Alaska. He paid great attention to detail and could build magnificent structures after carefully studying massive blueprints on his kitchen floor in the evenings. Bryan's craftsmanship is seen everywhere in Utah and Salt Lake Counties, as well as other areas along the Wasatch. He cared for the safety and well-being of everyone on his job sites with absolute dedication.

Bryan's legacy will live on in the hearts of all who have been warmed by his love and friendship. We'll continue to share memories that make us laugh and smile….there are many! Bryan's quick wit and sense of humor were legendary. We cherish the time we've had with him and hope for a joyful reunion in the eternities. We love you, Bryan. You've left the world a much better place for having lived here. Keep building onward and upward, dear husband, father, son and brother!

Bryan will be laid to rest in the Pleasant Grove cemetery on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 11:00 am.
