Chance Kenneth Molen “Chancey Boy” went home to his Father in Heaven on August 12, 2026. Chance was born on June 25, 1991 in Provo, Utah to Chad Kenneth Molen and Kristen Yvonne Walker.
Chance had a soft heart. He was kind to everyone he met. Wherever Chance went, he made new friends. His comedian-level humor was hard to beat and his timing impeccable. He had an incredible memory for TV shows and movies. He could recall lines, quotes and titles from years past, pull them up at the most random times and have everyone laughing. He was always smiling. Chance was close to his siblings. They were like the Three Musketeers. They stuck together. Chance was baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by his father on October 9, 1999. In November 2012 he began his LDS mission to Long Beach, California. He loved the people he served and companions he met along the way. He met his soul mate, Brooke D Woldstad “Viv” in Utah. They had a shared interest in roleplay, renaissance festivals, costumes and in-person gaming. Viv was a calming force for Chance. In 2025 Chance and Viv moved from Utah to Minnesota. They were married at the Renaissance Festival on August 30, 2025 in Shakopee, Minnesota. Viv was the love of his life. Chance will be greatly missed by all who loved him. He was an incredible light to all of us. Chance is preceded in death by Merle LaMar Walker (grandfather). Survivors: spouse, Brooke D Woldstad; parents-in-law Jacob Adom Woldstad (Brandy Anne Barton); brother-in-law Walker Jay Woldstad; father, Chad Kenneth Molen (Dana Hathaway); mother, Kristen Yvonne Walker Molen; sister, Rilee Nicole (Molen) Stallings (Connor David Stallings); brother, Jarron McKay Molen (Emma Willow Bateman); stepbrothers: Christopher Joe Dever (Sarah Beacco) and Wesley Jence Dever; stepsister: Kinsley James
Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1149 N 300 W, Lehi, Utah, 84043 at 11 am, with a family prayer at 10:45. Dedication of the grave site: Orem Cemetery 1200 N 800 East, Orem, Utah 84097
In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made to help Viv with future expenses. Donations can be made via Venmo: @Brooke-Woldstad. More information will be available in the funeral programs.
