Charlaine Woolfenden Thompson, 89, passed away on October 27, 2026 in Orem, Utah. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, and raised in San Bernardino, California. Charlaine lived a life filled with faith, strength, love, and just the right amount of spunk and stubbornness.

Charlaine was a loving mother to Troy Thompson and Lainie Williams. She is a proud grandmother to Desiree Thompson, Adam and Sashleigha Hightower, Rajen and Jessica Williams, and Jake and Siarra Dutson. She especially cherished her great-grandchildren Hunter, McCoy, Celeste, Nevaeh, Zyra, Eviee, Ariee, Azure, Ghage, Tenzin, and Lyli. She also shared a special bond with her sisters, Terry Lynn Woolfenden, Saundra Elaine Isaacson, and Stephanie Schick.

Affectionately known as “Mrs. T.,” Charlaine dedicated her teaching career to inspiring high school students who loved and admired her. She spent almost 30 of those years at Pleasant Grove High School. Her heart extended far beyond her family, often “adopting” others and making everyone feel loved and welcome.

Charlaine’s unwavering faith carried her through a remarkable life. After 64 years apart, she is finally reunited with her beloved husband, Clair Butler Thompson—a reunion surely filled with more love than words can express.

She loved fiercely, lived faithfully, and left a little bit of her spunk in all of us. As a family, we express our deep appreciation to all who knew and loved our dear Charlaine.
