Obituary

Cheryl Louise Cunningham Bingham was called home from this mortal life on November 17, 2019 just before her 41st birthday. Cheryl's shortened life exemplified that she was among the noble and great ones who was born for a wise and glorious purpose. She arrived on December 6, 1978 in Provo, Utah to James Robert and Debra Louise Novikoff Cunningham. Cheryl married Brent Raymond Bingham, on June 8, 1996 in Orem, Utah and they were later sealed for eternity in the Mt. Timpanogos Utah Temple. Cheryl began her married life working at the Bingham Greenhouse. And these last few years, Cheryl worked for McCoard's Gardens. But the greatest fruits of her life are her children: Jessica, Tyler, and Kelcie. Cheryl gave 110% to everything she loved. And she was fiercely loyal as a wife and mother, as a daughter and sister, and as a friend. We will miss playing games at family gatherings. We will miss Cheryl's humor and laughter and unique vocabulary. We will miss her bright optimism, even in the midst of adversity. We will miss how her light brightened and warmed any room she entered. Cheryl loved being in the mountains. Her favorite vacations were always spent with her family in the tops of the mountains. She loved serving God and His daughters at girls' camp. And the only place she would rather be was serving her ancestors in the mountain of the Lord's house. Cheryl fought cancer for several years. And though she did not survive, Cheryl did not shrink. Through great pain and discouragement, Cheryl's testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and her love for all expanded. She was diligently faithful to her covenants. Cheryl is survived by her eternal companion, Brent Bingham; her children Jessica (Korbin) Draper, Tyler, and Kelcie; her parents James and Debra Novikoff Cunningham; her siblings Kristina (Kurt) Penfold, Robert (Lori-ann) Cunningham, Michael (Kim) Cunningham, and Rachel (Travis) Peterson; and numerous nieces and nephews. We are bound as a family on earth by love. And by the power of the Holy Priesthood and, true to the covenants we have made, we are also eternally bound in heaven, only because of the Atonement of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and His perfect plan of happiness. Cheryl's viewing will be Friday, November 22, 2019 from 6pm to 8pm, at the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home located at 85 East 300 South in Provo, Utah. Her funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019, at 11am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel located at 3111 West 1390 North in Provo, Utah. Family and close friends will gather at 10am for a brief viewing and family prayer. Interment will be at the East Lawn Cemetery in Provo, Utah.
