IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Claudia Corinne
Reeves
February 10, 1953 – November 10, 2024
Born February 10, 1953 in Oakdale, California to Farrell and Phyllis Reeves. She was the oldest of 5 children. Claudia graduated from Oakdale High School in 1971 and then attended California State College at Turlock, transferred to Brigham Young University where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Music Education and a Master's Degree in Music Theory. She began her choir teaching career at Dixie Jr. High School in St. George, Utah 1978-1980 and then wanting to be closer to family, taught at South Ogden Jr. High from 1980-2013 where she blessed the lives of thousands of students. She loved every moment of teaching as well as playing the piano masterfully, avidly reading the scriptures and novels, creating beautiful embroidery and cross stitch works, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She kept fit by walking and loved eating out with family and friends.
She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-Saints where she taught Gospel Doctrine classes and played the organ for many, many years. She loved serving in the Temple and inspired others with her stalwart testimony of the Divinity of the Savior and the Plan of Salvation. As an alum of Brigham Young University, she remained a fiercely loyal fan. True Blue all the way through.
Claudia is survived by: a sister Cynthia Hofmann (Gary) a sister Daphne Spann (Edwin) a brother Shawn Reeves (Julie) and a sister Suiska Rhodes (Brent), 14 nieces and nephews, as well as 36 grand nieces and nephews.
