We regretfully announce the passing of Nannette Holladay of Provo Utah on August 9th, 2023. Nannette was surrounded by her family and passed away peacefully. Nannette, who was a beloved mother to a family of eight, was born on November 9th, 1934 to Dart and Thelma.

After graduating from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, she dedicated her life to the care of others. Nannette taught elementary and middle school for 5 years before devoting her heart to raising her family and providing foster care to over 40 special needs adults and troubled youth. In addition, she created the Friendship Connection, the first all-Latter Day Saint pen pal club. As founder and leader of the Friendship Connection she was able to watch at least 78 couples marry (40 temple weddings), with 25 children born from those unions, before retiring from the position after 20 years. Not ready to rest yet, she dabbled extensively in writing inspirational poems until the end.

Nannette found her true love rather late in life, Bruce Block, whom she was sealed to for time and all eternity in 2011. She was predeceased by her husband Bruce, and her children Craig Williams and Steven Kay, and is survived by her children Darren Williams, Kelly Williams, Terry Williams, Kim Crown, Logan Williams, and Lawrence Weagle, her 12 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.

She frequently implored her family to not be sad at her passing, because she would be happily reunited with Bruce again. She will be missed dearly by her family, friends, and everyone whose lives she touched.
