Loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Colleen Collard Nabaum age 87, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Saturday, March 11, 2023.
Colleen was born September 19, 1935, to Gordon Elmer Collard and Rea Zell Collard. Colleen grew up in Provo, Utah and graduated from Provo High School in 1953.
She married Overton Arthur Nabaum on January 30, 1959 in the Salt Lake Temple. Colleen was an active member of the LDS Church and served faithfully in many capacities. Colleen and her husband, Overton, served a mission in Gilmer, Texas, in the Texas Dallas Mission. They also served a mission at the Conference Center as Church Service Missionaries.
Colleen worked over 30 years as Secretary for the Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad.
Colleen loved being with her family, serving in the church, camping, traveling, and gardening.
Colleen is survived by her daughters: Michelle (Jerry) Cooper, Sherry (Brian) Prendergast, and Mikianne Nabaum; granddaughters: Ashley (Alberto) Gomez and Hannah Nabaum, and great-grandchildren; Alberto Oliver Gomez and Kailey Kay Gomez; and her siblings: Leland G. Collard, George H. (Marylin) Collard, Christine (Harvey) Hansgen, and Glade E. (Jan) Collard.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 17, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the Parkway Second Ward, 3407 West 9625 South, South Jordan, Utah. Viewings will be held Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 6-8 pm at, Jenkins Soffe Mortuary South Valley, 1007 West South Jordan Parkway (10600 South), South Jordan, Utah and from 12:00 – 12:45 pm. Friday, March 17, prior to the service. Interment will be at the South Jordan Memorial Park.
