Cora Lee (Jackman) Rockwood continued her journey beyond this mortal life on Friday, July 10, 2026, at the age of 76. She passed peacefully surrounded in love by her four daughters.
Cora Lee was born on August 14, 1949, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Carl E Jackman and Edna Christiansen Jackman. She grew up primarily in Murray with her two brothers and two sisters.
Sharing her jubilant and joyful character through her many years, she spoke fondly of her time as “Bubbles” a Trefoil Girl Scout Camp Counselor, and as the Primary chorister — her favorite church service.
Cora Lee had a deeply heartfelt faith in Jesus Christ and testimony of His Gospel. She lived her conviction valiantly, including her service as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Arizona.
Skillfully sharing her creative energy, sharp intellect, and determination to survive, she built relationships to carry her through the various turns of the kaleidoscope of life. Cora Lee diligently worked many years for WordPerfect, Softcopy, and Thanksgiving Point as an indispensable, dependable colleague to many who became dear friends.
Cora Lee lovingly raised her four girls with the greatest dedication to their individual paths of successful lives. She loved visits from family and calls or texts with friends, and basked in joy engaging in the lives of her children and grandchildren. Partnered with creating and sharing her beautiful hot pads, and listening to the adventures and experiences of her girls and their lives was her favorite way to pass time. Love and warmth was felt in her home always, with gatherings full of treats, laughter, games, clapping, and joy. Her generosity toward her family knew no bounds.
Cora Lee was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her daughters Carrie Limón (Martin) of Spanish Fork, Utah; Heather Rockwood of Pleasant Grove, Utah; Cindy Lou Trishman (Rob) of Salt Lake City, Utah; and Melissa Dean (Adam) of Rigby, Idaho. In addition, she is survived by her grandchildren Morgan (Brigham), Mikayla, Salem, Briggs, and Noah; and her great-grandson Dean.
She is remembered by the families gifted through choice, life circumstances and a shared love: Margaret Hundley and family, Melisa Zobell (Ed) and their son Tyler, and Tessa Jensen.
Cora Lee is also survived by her loving siblings Karen Ashton (Alan) of Orem, Utah; Kenneth Jackman (Pat) of Grand Junction, Colorado; Brent Jackman (Edith) of American Fork, Utah; and Joyce Scofield (Paul) of Kearns, Utah.
Please join us in celebrating through sharing the adventures of the courageous, loving character of our mother at a Celebration of Life event on Friday, July 17, at 11 a.m. at the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home at 646 East 800 North in Orem.
