Darren Hirsche, beloved son, brother, father, uncle, friend and coach passed away from Huntington's Disease, August 22, 2018 at his home in Orem, Utah at the age of 52. Darren was born Oct 7, 1965 in Provo, Utah to Delynn and Elaine Bullock Hirsche. He attended schools in Orem and then furthered his studies at BYU in Social Science Education. He went on to receive a Juris Doctorate from BYU's law school in 1994. He was an educator at Provo High School for 23 years teaching Geography, US History, AP Psychology, Economics, American Government, and Business Law. His expertise in law enabled him to not only teach business law, but to moderate the Mock Trail Program at the school. Darren's passion was his daily interaction with his students, teaching, and also coaching football and wrestling. Darren was honored by the National Wrestling Coaches Association as the 2006 Assistant Coach of the Year. In coaching Darren was an Assistant Athletic Director, Defensive Coordinator for the varsity football team, and Assistant Head Wrestling coach at Provo High School. He was nominated several times for the Provo High Teacher of the Year Award. He was recognized by the Provo School District for his teaching excellence in March of 2016. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served an LDS mission in Auckland, New Zealand 1984-85 He is survived by his mother Elaine Hirsche Wilkes, his daughter Jentree Hirsche, his fiancée Becki Ledward, his sisters Heather and Michelle, brothers Lon and Ryan, thirteen nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his father Delynn Hirsche in 2005. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 1st at 11:00am at the Hillcrest Stake Chapel 1450 S 800 E Orem, Utah. Viewings will be held at the same location on Friday, August 31st from 6-8pm and from 9:30-10:30am on September 1, 2018 prior to the service.
