Obituary

Darrin Edward Turner

Darrin Edward Turner of Perrysburg, Ohio died on October 7, 2026 at the age of 61 from cancer. He was born on July 24, 1965 in Provo, Utah to Lloyd Edward Turner and LaVon Forsey Turner, the 5th of 5 children with three older sisters and one older brother. His mother's patriarchal blessing said that she would have 'daughters and sons.' She wrote that he was a fun loving and mischievous child with a new set of troubles up his sleeve at every turn. He brought much joy and laughter into the family and rapidly became life-long best friends with his brother David who was just two years older than him.

Darrin loved sports and participated in baseball from a young age. He also loved water sports, nature and camping with his family. He was a drummer with the symphonic, pep and marching bands in high school. Darrin earned his eagle scout award and graduated from Orem High School. He served as a full time missionary in the Oklahoma Tulsa Mission. Shortly after his return, his father died very suddenly of a ruptured aortic aneurysm.

He married Pamela Jo Fowler in 1989 and graduated from BYU with a bachelor's degree in business. He went to work for WordPerfect and then Novell Corporation. He and Pam were divorced in 1995. Darrin met Nicole Lynn Carson and they were married on September 26, 1997. They were separated two years ago. Together they had two daughters, Breanna Nicole and Abigail Lynn Turner. They lived in Findlay, Ohio; Stevensville, Michigan and then Perrysburg, Ohio, where Darrin worked in computer systems management.

Darrin was a reserved, gentle and kind man, much like his father. He loved a 'good deal' and his favorite store was Costco. He loved his daughters dearly and they lived with him, helped him and were by his side until the end of his life.

Darrin was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings including a bishopric and an Eider's quorum presidency. He loved those he served and was the recipient of wonderful ministering service from dear ward members who helped him tremendously during his fight with cancer.

Darrin is survived by his estranged wife Nicole, daughters Breanna Turner & Abbi Turner, sisters Barbara (Ronald) Stoddard, Julie (Weston) Taylor, Loralee (Rhett) Fernsten and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Lloyd Edward Turner, his mother LaVon Forsey Turner, his brother David Lloyd Turner (Janice).
