Daryl Bruce Rodemeyer entered into this world on October 24th, 1951. He left us unexpectedly on December 22nd, 2018 surrounded by all of his loved ones. He was born to his loving mother Virginia Christensen in St. Helena, California. (in the sanitarium) Daryl spent most of his childhood in the St. Helena and San Diego area. Being one of five siblings life was a little wild to say the least.
Daryl met his loving supportive wife Elizabeth Olsen on June 18th, 1971; while he was working at a Kentucky Fried Chicken. Later that night their first date consisted of going out for a soda on his motorcycle. Daryl was a bit of a "bad boy" with a huge spirit. Later the same year they married on October 30th 1971. This year Daryl and Elizabeth celebrated their 47th year of being happily married.
Daryl had two daughters, Trisha and Denise, and one son Thomas who he loved dearly, even if they didn't always see eye to eye. Daryl had 8 grandchildren who he all loved. Daryl was a very talkative person who could strike up a conversation with anybody and everybody, even though he liked to have his personals space. Daryl came into contact with so many people and made connections with each and every one of them we are unsure of who to contact about his passing, from the walkers at the mall early in the morning, to the people at the senior citizens center, to people at the grocery store. Daryl loved to talk.
Daryl could always be found in his yard working in his beautiful garden wearing his flannel shirt and socks with sandals, while making sure to take plenty of breaks to sit on his porch and drink a diet coke while enjoying the beautiful day. He was a very faithful man that enjoyed reading his scriptures daily
He was Preceded in death by his mother Virginia Christensen, his brother Ed Rodemeyer, his two brother in laws Kent and Pete Olsen, and his nephew Rich Vance.
