David H. Taylor, 72, of Riverton, passed away peacefully in his home and returned to his Heavenly Father on April 18, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was an amazing husband, father, brother, "Bopa" and a man that could fix anything that needed fixing. He was devoted to serving others and showed his love for Heavenly Father by serving His children with all his heart.
He is survived by his wife and eternal companion, Elayne Larsen Taylor; his children Michelle (Zach), Michael, Eric (Suzanne); his Sister Ada (Garth); and his 7 grandkids who deeply loved their "Bopa."
Dave was born on August 12, 1947 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Irmgard and Arthur Taylor. He went to Granite High School and later served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Northern Germany from 1966 - 1968. Dave loved his country and served in the Army signal Corp from 1969 - 1971 and was stationed in South Korea during those years. He married Elayne Larsen on August 12 (his birthday) 1975 in the Salt Lake City Temple. He adored his wife and loved to make her happy. He attended the University of Utah College of Business and worked as an installer and contractor in the window covering industry throughout his professional career and also served as a Rotary Club member. He enjoyed business travel and took pleasure in helping to build 5 temples throughout the United States and Mexico. He finished his professional career doing maintenance for Waterford School. Dave took great joy in volunteering at Tiny Tim's Toy Factory building wooden cars for under privileged children. He loved fixing things and serving others. In so doing, he always served faithfully in The Church in various capacities highlighted as a Bishop in the Western Springs 1st ward in Riverton, Utah from 2011-2015.
Dave is preceded in death by his Mom and Dad and Brother-in-law, Ken Bills.

Due to the current circumstances we are facing, there will be a private memorial gathering for family, then a memorial celebration of Dave's life will be held at a later time and place to be announced.
