Obituary

Davis Andrew Peterson passed away on September 12th, 2022 after a short but valiant fight with an intense infection. Davis, the youngest of four was born to loving parents Ernest Peterson and Zella Davis Peterson, on February 23rd, 1946. Davis was born and raised in Lehi, Utah, where he attended Lehi elementary, junior and senior high schools. He eventually raised a family of his own there too.

Davis married the love of his life, Becky Rasmussen on August 5th, 1971 in the Logan, Utah Temple. They had been inseparable until her passing earlier this year. They were married for more than 50 years. They had their son Jason on April 8th, 1974. Davis lived for his family. He went along with many of our antics because he knew it would make us happy, which made him happy.

When Davis was younger he enjoyed taking part in plays and musicals at school and church. That hobby continued into adult life with the fun he and Becky had with their friends, putting on Road Shows in the old Lehi 5th ward. Davis also enjoyed classic cars and car shows, beautiful flowers and the occasional practical joke.

Davis held a few jobs in his younger days, but ended his long and successful working career at the DMV, where he completed more than 35 years of service. At all the jobs he held, he always left with at least one lifelong friend. He was a very kind and thoughtful man who is always thinking how he can make someone's day better. Whether it be with a treat, a gift or a visit, he always knew what to do.

Davis is survived by his son, Jason (Alysa), grandsons Jarek and Dallas; Brothers Boyd Peterson (Peggy), Nile Peterson (Narita), brother in law Philip Rasmussen (Linda), sister in law Marilyn Rawson and many other loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; Ernest and Zella Peterson; step mother; Zelta Nebeker parents in law; Victor Philip Rasmussen and Mary Velda Petersen Rasmussen; sister; LaVon Peterson; sister; Marna Berry; sister-in-law Julie Peterson and life-long friend Marva Aikens.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, September 18th from 6-8pm and again on Monday September 19th from 10-10:45 am with a funeral service at 11 am. Both will be held at the LDS chapel on 745 N 600 W Pleasant Grove, Utah.
