IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Debra Kay
Rawlings
December 27, 1952 – March 24, 2026
Debra Kay Rawlings, age 73, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and a life beautifully lived. Debi was truly one of the coolest people you could ever meet. She had a deep love for nature and animals and devoted much of her life to caring for and rescuing cats and dogs, always putting their needs before her own. Her decision to go vegan in 1990 reflected her lifelong commitment to kindness and respect for all living things.
Debi found her greatest joy in sharing life with her beloved sister and best friend, Teresa. Their bond was unbreakable, and the time they spent together meant everything to her.
She proudly served a mission in Wyoming and Colorado, and later pursued her education at BYU, earning an associate’s degree in photography and a bachelor’s degree in communication. She had a creative spirit and a unique way of seeing the world, capturing beauty in both people and the natural world around her.
Debi is survived by her sister, Teresa Rawlings. She was preceded in death by her parents, Max Clarence and Grace Eileene Rawlings, and her brothers, Alan Max and Brian Dee Rawlings.
Though it is incredibly hard to say goodbye, we take comfort in knowing Debi is reunited with her parents, her brothers, dear friends, and the many pets she loved so deeply. Her gentle soul, vibrant spirit, and boundless compassion will be missed beyond words but remembered always.
