Diane Anderson Halls died peacefully in her sleep on Feb 2, 2022. She was born Jan 1, 1942 in LDS Hospital, Salt Lake City, UT. She was the only child of Harold and Lorene Anderson and was mostly raised in Vernal Utah.
Diane lived in San Diego and Phoenix briefly before moving to Vernal where she grew & was raised. She met Fred Halls at a square dance and they never had eyes for anyone else since then. They were married in Salt Lake City in 1966 following his graduation from BYU.
They lived in Ft. Collins Colorado where she worked as the 1st Kindergarten teacher in the La Porte Elementary School in the Poudre School District. They moved to Idaho Falls Idaho in 1973. In 1982, they transferred to Orem Utah.
Diane was a wonderful mother and homemaker and example to everyone she met. She continued raising her family and enjoying pastimes of sewing and reading and with the encouragement of some friends, she wrote numerous small sketches of her life.
She spent many years in numerous Relief Society Presidencies and was a Ward President when the Church changed to the 3-hour block system.
She is survived by her husband Fred D. Halls, her children Steven (Coralie) Halls, Heather (Brian) Walton, Brian (Wendy) Halls, and 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the LDS church on 1051 E 200 N, Orem, UT on Saturday February 5th at 3 PM. Friends may gather with the family prior to the funeral starting at 2 PM
