Dixie Mae Shoemaker Facer 1932 - 2017 Dixie Mae Shoemaker Facer died peacefully at home in Provo Utah on September 19 at the age of 84. She was surrounded by her family and her loving husband. Dixie is survived by her husband Mark Rolla Facer and her children Mark Shoemaker Facer, William Richard Facer, Burnett Shoemaker Facer, Shannon Lynn Facer, James Moyle Facer, Kimberling Keith Facer, Lucille Facer Bernstein, David Thomas Facer and Amanda Facer Olsen as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son Jeffrey Martin Facer. Dixie was born on November 2, 1932 in Medford Oregon to Claude Kimberling Shoemaker and Lucille Martin. Dixie held many positions of service in the church including Relief Society President, Primary President and Primary and Sunday School Teacher. Dixie and her husband Mark married on June 8, 1953 and raised a large family in California and later retired to Provo Utah. Together they served missions in Africa twice and then Romania. Dixie's love for service to others has been a gift to so many who were blessed to know her. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday September 23 at 10 AM; Provo Oak Hills Stake Center, 925 N Temple Dr, Provo, UT 84604
