IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Donna Marie
Tolman
January 13, 1940 – September 19, 2023
Donna Marie Yingling Tolman, 83, of Orem, passed away in her home on Tuesday, September 19th.
Donna (affectionately known as Dee Dee) was born in Rio Tinto, Nevada, in 1940 to Johnie and Ruby Yingling. She was the baby of the family, with an older brother and sister, Billy and Laura. Her growing up years influenced her to be strong, resilient, and loving. She attended High School and was a cheerleader in North Bend, Oregon. After high school she attended BYU. While there, she met Lynn J. Tolman. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on March 20th, 1959. They loved each other and had 46 wonderful years together. They have 6 children, 20 grandchildren, and so far, 23 great grandchildren.
Dee Dee worked at the BYU Marriott Center ticket office for almost 20 years and the UC credit union for several years after that. She served in numerous callings in the LDS church. A few favorites were Stake YMA Relief Society President and a couples mission with Lynn in Mesa, Arizona. She loved and was loved by all she served. Lynn J. Tolman passed away in 2003. She met Lloyd (Tony) Peach several years later. They were together until she passed. They were known as the silver haired teenagers. They loved to travel, go to car shows, attend swap meets, shop at Swiss Days, check out farmer's markets, enjoy Sunday dinners with family, and go on many RZR rides with friends. They had great fun together and were often spotted wearing matching clothes and cowboy hats.
Dee Dee was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was a cheerleader for all of her loved ones. Constantly loving, encouraging, strengthening and lifting her family. She made friends everywhere she went. She took the time to listen and engage in other peoples' lives and stories. She was full of life and energy, She loved adventure, and she loved to shop. She often opened her home to all she knew and met to come pick out an item from "DEE DEE's Store." She left behind a wonderful legacy from her love, loyalty, and commitment to family and friends! She will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.
Dee Dee lives on through Lloyd Peach and her 6 children, DaLyn Greer (Gordy), Sherri Pritchett (Mark), Dayna (Tammy), Shelli Johnston (Heath), Brett (Jelaire), and Johnie. She is also survived by her sister Laura Nelson, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother.
