Doris Melissa Pritchett Horlacher, 85 years old, died on December 26, 2019 at 9pm in Spanish Fork Utah. Born May 22, 1934 to Bert Edward Pritchett and Orla Katherine Moberly in Spokane, Washington. Doris was the middle of five children. She spent most of her childhood in Washington, graduating from West Valley High School in Spokane Valley in1953. She married, had three children, and became a single mom. She met David R. Horlacher in Fallon Nevada. On August 25, 1961 they were married and Sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple. Doris taught Special Education, cake decorating, and genealogy classes. She loved to play the piano, quilt, garden, dance, and camp. She volunteered in the scouting programs, served 8 missions, and wrote several books. Doris was preceded in death by her parents: Orla Katherine Moberly and Bert Edward Pritchett; two brothers: Robert "Bob" Moberly Pritchett and John Edward Pritchett; her husband: David R. Horlacher and son: Robert Edward Curley. Doris is survived by: David Leigh Pritchett (brother), Katherine Mary Pritchett Allen (sister), "Don" Donald Dean Horlacher (son), "John" Johnathan Anderson Horlacher (son), Deborah Sue Horlacher (daughter), Paul Dee Horlacher (son), David Stephen Horlacher (son), Gary Thomas Horlacher (son), George Charles Horlacher (son), Rachel Irene Williams (daughter), and 28 grandchildren as well as 32 great grandchildren. A viewing will take place at Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 E. 800 N. Orem, Utah Friday from 6:00-8:00pm January 3, 2020 and Saturday January 4, 2020 from 9:30-10:30 am with the Funeral starting at 11:00 am, Saturday January 4, 2020.
