Dorothy Maria (Urban) Ormsbee, a devoted wife, and mother, and grandmother/great grandmother/great great grandmother of many descendants, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2018. Dorothy was born June 10, 1924 in South Weber, Davis County, Utah. Growing up during the Great Depression gave her a perspective that enabled a spirit and and ethic of hard work and self-reliance, which she passed on to her children. She is preceded in death by a son, Harland Everett, a husband, Harland Frederick Ormsbee, two brothers and a sister, two grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. She is survived by a brother, Dick Urban, three daughters and two sons; Patty Lou Winks, Donna Jean Hayden, James Eugene Ormsbee, Karen Faye Page, and Edward Bruce Ormsbee, and by twenty-seven grandchildren, ninety-two great grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren. With a total of 142 decedents, this great lady had an impact on a large number of direct family member, many nieces, nephews and extended family, and countless friends and associates accumulated over ninety-four and a half years of life. Dorothy will always be remembered by all who knew her as a friend to everyone. Each person she met was treated as an old friend. She was a pure soul with no malice, but love for everyone. She will continue to be a great example to all who will read the story of her life. Funeral Services will be held, Saturday, December 22, 2018, 11:00 a.m., Cascade 5th Ward, 1051 East 200 North, Orem. Family and friends may visit prior to services from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in Orem City Cemetery, 1520 North 800 East, Orem.
