Our beloved Edward "Eddie" Barton Ellingson, 15, died January 11, 2024, in Orem, Utah. He lived a good life, and he has returned home to his loving Heavenly Father.

Eddie was born on January 30, 2008, to Tegwyn and Alisa Ellingson in Provo, Utah. From the beginning, he was loved so very much by everyone around him. He enjoyed playing games, especially D&D. He friendshipped many people by inviting them to play games with him. He also loved collecting and building Legos, especially anything to do with Harry Potter.

Eddie previously attended Canyon View Junior where he developed a special talent for singing. He participated in various choirs and the musical theater program. His favorite role was Lord Farquaad in the musical Shrek. He was a sophomore at Orem High School, where he continued to develop his musical talent. He sang tenor in the contemporary acapella group Critical Mass and he absolutely loved it. It was his very favorite thing about school.

Most of all, Eddie had a strong testimony of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. He took some time before he died to let his family know how much he loved Jesus Christ and how much he was looking forward to the resurrection.

Eddie is survived by Tegwyn and Alisa Ellingson (parents); Mia, Gordon, Luke, Iris, and Peter (siblings); Parry and Krystyna Ellingson (grandparents); and many loved aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by Al and Anne Barton (grandparents).

A celebration of Eddie's life (including viewing and visitation) will be held on Tuesday, January 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North, Orem, Utah. There will be a visitation on Wednesday January 17 from 11:30-12:30 at the church prior to the services

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, January 17, at 1 p.m. at the Latter-day Saint church located at 810 East 600 North, Orem, Utah. Burial will be immediately following at the Orem City Cemetery.
