Elizabeth June Seaton Geertsen was born on June 24, 1925 to John Russell and Mary Lovelady Seaton in Omaha, Nebraska. Her family moved to Twin Falls, Idaho where she grew up. She attended nursing school in Idaho Falls where she graduated with her nursing degree. During her career she worked at American Fork Hospital, Utah Valley Hospital, and Payson Hospital with the bulk of her nursing career spent at the BYU Health Center. While working at the BYU Health center, she met her late husband Bill Geertsen. Together they raised five children. June will be remembered for her love and countless hours of service she gave as an avid quilter. She is survived by her children Kristine ( James) Pinegar, Jeff, Brenda "JC", and Sandra (Tom) Carpenter, brother John Nephi ( Dale) Seaton, sister Ruth (Gordon) Smith, her thirteen grandchildren , eleven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, son Gary Seaton, her parents, four brothers and four sisters. June died at home on December 2, 2021. A viewing will be held December 20, 2021 from 9:30-10:30am at the Edgemont 8th Ward Chapel on Mojave Ln., Provo, Utah. Funeral services are to follow at 11:00 am at the same location.
