Ethel Danice Nattress (Danice) Jolley of Provo, Utah passed away on August 30,, 2022 in the arms of her loved ones. Born in Montpelier, Idaho on March 17, 1941, she spent most of her youth living in Idaho Falls and Pocatello. She was the daughter of the late William John and Marjorie (Dayley) Nattress and sister to the late William Dayley Nattress. She graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1959. While at Idaho Falls High, she was the captain of the Tigerettes Drill Team. Later, she attended Brigham Young University.

Danice was married for 29 years. She raised four children - Elisabeth, David, Robert and Matthew - while relocating eight times throughout the US. In 1986, Danice moved to Provo (Quail Valley) from Albuquerque, New Mexico. She loved the view of Mt. Timpanogos from her back porch and to watch the sunset over Utah Valley. In her later years when her health confined Danice to her home, her view of the mountains became even more special.

Danice truly sacrificed her life to first, care for and raise her four children, and then to care for her aging parents. She literally, wore herself out in caring for others. Danice is also known for her strong independence and her streak of feistiness (for doing practical jokes when you least expect it). Danice stayed strong in her testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ until the end. Although her children and grandchildren will miss her, we know that she has had a long-anticipated and joyful reunion with her parents and her brother, who she loves dearly.

Danice is survived by her children – Elisabeth Gagon, David Jolley, Robert Jolley and Matthew Jolley; her grandchildren – Vita Gagon, Dasha Gagon and Roma Gagon; Ashley Wolf, Amber Dewaal, Alex Jolley and Alicia Jolley; and Madison Contardi and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the Edgemont 14th Ward Chapel at 4200 North Foothill Drive, Provo, UT at 1pm on Tuesday, September 6, 2022. Viewing from 11:30am – 12:30pm on prior to the funeral. Graveside services will be held at East Lawn Memorial Hills, 4800 North 650 East, Provo, immediately following the funeral services.
