IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Eva Bell
Smith
November 6, 1926 – July 9, 2023
Eva Bell Smith, 96, returned to her Savior's loving arms on July 9, 2023 at her daughter's home in St. George, UT.
She was born on November 6, 1926 in Aurora, Utah to O. Harvey Harward and Montez Bell, the fourth of thirteen children.
The family moved to Provo when she was 7 years old due to the Depression. She attended school in Provo and Orem.
Eva Bell married Carl A. Smith on Nov 14, 1942. They built their dream home together on Grandview Hill in Provo. They lived in this home their entire lives together. Overtime, five children blessed their home.
Carl and Eva Bell were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple in 1965. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in various positions in Primary and Relief Society.
Eva Bell was a devoted wife, mother, and sister. Those who knew her most, described her as 'a feisty, cute, determined, and a 'go-getter'. Everything she did, she did to the fullest. She taught her children the value of hard work, persistence, and honesty.
She loved to sew, garden, and dance. In the later years, she loved to read, and stay connected with family and friends.
Eva Bell is survived by Blaine & (Joyce) Smith, Carolyne & (Kent) Nicholes, Karl & Marsha Stum, Russell & (Laree) Smith, 30 grandchildren, 95 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, and 3 brothers; Val, Ron, and Terry Harward.
Eva Bell was preceded in death by her infant son, Richard, a daughter, Diane Smith Stum, and her beloved husband, Carl.
