Our precious mother and grandmother Evalyn Heringer peacefully passed away July 1, 2024 in Lehi, Utah. She was born March 29, 1937 to Fred Leon and Evalyn Warren Pomel in Salem, Utah. She was raised in Salem and graduated from Spanish Fork High and then attended Beauty School.

She married Robert Heringer on May 18, 1956, they were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. They made their home and raised their family in Orem, Utah. In addition to being a homemaker she was a Bookkeeper for Heringer Marine working alongside her husband Robert and son Clark. She canned every year, her homegrown peaches and grape juice were a favorite. She make a mean pot of Baked Beans.

Evalyn was a beautiful seamstress, in addition to making clothing for her children she also crocheted, embroidered and quilted. She made amazing quilts that are cherished by her children and grandchildren.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held numerous callings including serving a Service Mission to Deseret Industries with her husband, Robert.

Her family was very important to her. She always remembered and sent cards to everyone on their birthday. She loved spending time with them and enjoyed many Family Home Evenings, game nights, dinners, BBQ's and other celebrations.

Evalyn is survived by daughter Vickie, St. George, son Clark (Julene) Orem, daughters Annette (Kelly) Sandy and Leslie (Bruce) Highland, 12 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She is preceded by her sweetheart Robert, her parents, her sister Jackie Maynard and son-in-law Kelly Strebel.

The family would like to thank the staff at Covington Senior Living of Lehi, Utah and her Home Health and Hospice nurses Janae and Marianne for their loving care of Evalyn.

Services will be held Monday July 8, 2024 at 11 am at Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North Orem, Utah. Friends and family may attend a viewing prior to services from 10 to 10:45 am. Interment will follow at Orem City Cemetery.
