IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Farol
Freeman
March 31, 1925 – June 16, 2024
Farol Lee Freeman was a fun, bright, creative, spiritual, kind and loving person. She was multi-talented as an artist, seamstress, cook, decorator, and gardener. No one knew that better than her four daughters and their families who all adored her. She passed away peacefully at home in her sleep on the morning of Sunday, June 16, 2024. She was born March 31, 1925 in McGill, Nevada, the second of 11 children born to James Horald Lee and Jennie Woodbury Lee. Her brothers and sisters included Blaine Lee, Irene Otterson, Ruby Buhler, Jennie Adam, James Lee Jr., Helen Trowbridge, Ralph Lee, Raymond Lee, Sharon Aellig, and Rex Lee. She enjoyed her childhood traveling throughout the western states while her father followed construction and engineering jobs. From the age of four she wanted to be an artist. Her artistic talents included painting, drawing, illustrating, lithography, photography, pottery, and sculpture, and her works are prized among all who knew her. She loved being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and her dearest calling was working in the Washington, DC LDS Temple for many years.
She is survived by her daughters Jean (Marty) MacDonald, Connie Vincent, Betty (Kirby) McMaster and Nancy Freeman. She has 12 living grandchildren who all loved her dearly: Roy Oetting, Shannon (Troy) Wilde, Sherri (Nick) Cowan, Jason (Heather) MacDonald, Jeffrey (Tran) Vincent, Ashley (Todd) Blake, Trevor (Michelle) McMaster, Carina MacDonald, Devon (Milt) Linn, Adrien (Edward) Wojciechowski, Andrew (Jill) Jackson, and Alice (Andrew) Jackson, as well as 28 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 7 siblings, and two grandchildren--Arthur Oetting and Colin McMaster.
Our hearts are broken, but we rejoice in her freedom from illness and old age. A viewing will be held Saturday June 22 from 9:30-10:30 AM at the Stonewood Stake Center located at 450 South 100 West in Orem. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM.
