Farrell D. Sorensen, 82, of Orem passed away Saturday May 5, 2018. He was born September 30, 1935 in Vineyard Utah to Theadore and June Sorensen. Farrell was the jokester of the family and loved by everyone that knew him. He loved to spend time with his friends and family at the sand dunes. He always had many stories he told about his times there. The main thing he enjoyed though was his golf cart. That was very important to him. He has passed it down to his family. He loved his 2-car bar garage and when you were there he would say "no sniveling" He was a member of the Southern Nevada blue grass association and attended many festivals. He was an Orem City volunteer fireman for over five years and a member of the Utah National Guard. His family loved him and will miss him greatly. Farrell is survived by his lovely wife Darla, his children Shelly, Lanny, Craig, and Shane. Many grandchildren and great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. He is preceded in death by his parents Ted and June and one brother Alva. Funeral Services will be Thursday May 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home 646 East 800 North, Orem. A visitation will be Wednesday night from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Thursday morning from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Interment will be in the Orem City Cemetery.
