Obituary

Our dear brother and son, Fosita Uluave Jr., lovingly known as Leka, passed away on September 6, 2025, in Orem, Utah, at the age of 36. He was born on April 14, 1989, in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Leilani and Fosita Uluave Sr. The third oldest of eight children, Leka was a devoted son, brother, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Leka was the life of the party. Everywhere he went, he brought laughter, energy, and joy. He had a gift for connecting with people—no matter where he was, he always seemed to know someone or make a new friend. He had a way of making everyone feel welcomed, and included. His big personality, humor, and warm heart drew people close, and his presence filled every room he entered.

Leka is a passionate fan of Utah Utes football, proudly cheering on his team every season. His love for the game and the excitement he brought on game days will be remembered by all who watched alongside him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Fosita Uluave Sr. Leka is survived by his mother, Leilani, and his siblings: Moala (Fili) Maafu, Siosiua Taueli Uluave, Lilipeti (Tony) Khammanivong, Lupieta (Tamate Jr.) Ilaoa, Tukuafu (Dianna) Uluave, Manu Uluave, and Sioeli Pulu Uluave. He was a proud and loving uncle to his nieces and nephews: Penisimani Maafu, Fosita Maafu, Billie Khammanivong, Kristy Khammanivong, Lupieta Khammanivong, and Siosiua Taueli Fosita Uluave.

Leka's greatest joy was his family, and he loved them fiercely. He created memories filled with laughter, loyalty, and love that his family and friends will cherish forever. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know and love him.
