Frank James Frederick
Polifka
February 6, 1952 – June 1, 2026
Frank James Frederick Polifka Jr., 74, of Saratoga Springs, Utah, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 6, 1952, in El Paso, Texas.
Frank was proud to be an Army brat and spent much of his childhood moving throughout the country while his father served as a Colonel in the United States Army. Those experiences helped shape his ability to connect with people from all walks of life.
Frank met the love of his life, Carol, during the final week of their senior year of high school. They were later married and sealed in the Oakland California Temple and recently celebrated 51 years of marriage. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and service. They began their family in Fresno, California, and in 2005 moved to Vancouver, Washington, where they spent 17 wonderful years. Following Carol's retirement after a 42-year nursing career, they moved to Utah to be closer to family and enjoy making memories with their seven beloved grandchildren.
For more than 40 years, Frank worked as an independent agent with Farmers Insurance. He genuinely loved meeting people and learning about their families. His gift for conversation and his sincere interest in others allowed him to build lasting friendships wherever he went. To know Frank was to feel welcomed, valued, and loved.
Frank was deeply devoted to his family and proud of his country's military heritage. He loved cooking, sharing meals, and gathering with family and friends. Some of his happiest moments were spent around the dinner table, where his food, stories, and laughter brought people together.
Frank is survived by his devoted wife, Carol; his son, Matthew (Courtney) Polifka; his daughter, Stefanie (Christopher) Shanks; and his seven cherished grandchildren: Milo, Sloan, Jimmy, Elle, Saylor, Harper, and Rowan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Sonya.
Frank's legacy of kindness, friendship, faith, and unconditional love will live on through the countless lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
