In Loving Memory of Geralda Carpi Pugina

Geralda Carpi Pugina 78 returned to live with our Heavenly Father on October 16, 2021 in Orem Utah after a valent lifelong battle with heart issues.

Gerie, as she was known to her friends and family was born on March 19, 1943 in São Paulo, Brazil to Ricieri Pedro Carpi and Antonieta Eliza Agostini. She grew up on a farm with 3 brothers and 4 sisters before moving to Lapa Sao Paulo. She married Laercio Pugina Sr and gave birth to her two sons Marcio and Laercio Jr.

She and her family later moved to the United States and eventually settled in Utah where she worked at BYU until she retired in 2014.

She was famous for her delicious Grandma's soup, which like her, will be sorely missed.

She is survived by her two sons Marcio and Laercio Pugina and her eight grandchildren and 10 great grand children.

Family and friends may visit Thursday, October 21, 2021, 7 - 9 pm at Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North, Orem and prior to services on Friday, October 22, 2021, 10-11:45 a.m. at the church on October 22, 2021.Funeral services will be performed at the Northridge 13th Building at 1674 N 200 W Orem Utah at 12:00PM. Interment at the Orem City Cemetery.
