Obituary

Gil Edwin Marchbanks, 65, passed away surrounded by family on February 1, 2021 in Provo, Utah - due to an accidental fall. He was born in Provo, Utah on July 31, 1955, to Leon Edwin Marchbanks and Vivian Inez Adams. He was the third son of nine children, seven boys and two girls. He received his education while living in Orem. He was a member of the IUPAT Union and a highly skilled dry wall finisher for many years. Ed enjoyed camping, fishing, riding his motorcycle and trips to Lake Powell with family. He lived in Arizona a number of years, then in Hawaii for several years but most of his life was lived in Utah county. At Ed's passing he lived in Mapleton. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Ed is survived by his mother Inez and six brothers and two sisters. Hal (Terry), Dan (Jill), Mae Barney (Bill), Kim (Julie), Val, Julie Seegmiller (John), Jon (Lonny) and Adam. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2021, from 11:00 am until Noon at the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home 646 East 800 North Orem, Utah, masks required. A grave side service will be held following the viewing at the Springville Evergreen Cemetery 1997 South 400 East, Springville, UT. Graveside Service with Live Webcast will begin at approximately 1:00 pm. For those who cannot attend you may view at www.walkersanderson.com Condolences may be offered online at same website.
