Hedi Barbara Georgi, 90, passed through the veil on Friday, April 20, 2018 and was reunited with Nephi after 36 years, with parents, brothers and a sister, with a son and a grandson, and many others who love her. She is also loved and missed on this side of the veil by many including her sons, Monty and Ricky, and her daughter Ria, as well as 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Hedi's life has been a remarkable story filled with miracles and divine choreography. The results of some of these special events in her life, took her, when she was 20 at the end of a terrible war, from her childhood home in German Sudetenland in Czechoslovakia half way around the world to an island paradise where she raised a family, learned a new language, embraced new cultures and a new religion. That journey with Nephi took her to Salt Lake City, Utah, a couple places in California and finally to Laie, Hawaii. The later years of her life, after Nephi passed away, were spent in Provo, Utah. One of the results of that journey, though, was that she was not able to see her family in Europe more than a couple times over a period of 70 years. Hedi was endowed by a loving Heavenly Father with the strength, creativity, resourcefulness, and many talents needed to help her to meet the challenges that came to her and her family. She was also endowed with a beauty, elegance and graciousness, which endeared her to peoples of many cultures.
