Iris “Sharon” Berman was called home on October 11, 2026, at the age of 82. Her passing leaves a deep space in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Sharon was born on April 23, 1944, in New York to Samuel Berman and Jeannette “Jeanne” Lepselder. She was raised in California and later made her home in Utah, where she built a life surrounded by people she loved, and who loved her.
Sharon was quick-witted and full of humor. She was a joy to be around and never missed a chance to make people laugh. She had a sharp mind for trivia, was an avid reader, and a writer that communicated deep feelings. She also loved music, especially the songs of John Denver and Neil Diamond. She had a soft spot for animals and was a proud supporter of the ASPCA.
Sharon was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served many years as a Temple worker and found great comfort in her faith. She had a generous heart and found great joy in family history, the Relief Society organization, and in serving others.
Sharon experienced many physical struggles which she faced with remarkable courage and grace. Her strength and positivity inspired those around her. She will be very missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Jeanne. She is survived by her brother, Michael (Lynn) Berman, along with the many friends whose lives she touched.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Orem City Cemetery, 1520 N 800 E, Orem, Utah 84097.
