James Michael Nielsen, 56, of Orem, Utah passed away on November 6, 2021, following a brief illness.

James, the oldest of nine siblings was born on April 21, 1965, in Price, Utah, to proud parents, Linda and Gerald Nielsen.

He loved spending time with his kids. He also had a love for NASCAR, Utah Jazz, wrestling, fishing, camping, and car shows. James had a big heart. He lived a life of service, always helping others.

James graduated from American Fork High School in 1984. He married Irene Sargent on April 3, 2012. They've spent 24 wonderful years together.

James was preceded in death by his father, Gerald, his stepfather, Mike, and infant sister Amber.

He is survived by his loving wife, Irene, and his seven children, Eric, Austin, Dustin, Justin, Dakota, Meranda, and Riley. And three grandchildren.

Also survived by his mother, Linda Searle and siblings Jerrilynn (Jose), Brenda (Jason), Cindi, Brian, Cari, Amanda, and Aaron (Erin).

Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, November 13, at the Cherry Hill 6 Ward, 1650 South 200 East, Orem. There will be a viewing held from 10 – 11:45 a.m. prior to services at the church.
