Jan Marie Hortman, 78, passed away August 31, 2026 at her home in St. George surrounded by her loving family. Jan was born September 23, 1947 to Bill Williams and Dorothy Krone Williams in Provo, Utah.

She attended St. Francis grade and high school, and then the University of Utah. She found a passion in her ownership of Ace Rents, where she worked from 1970 until her retirement. Jan faithfully served as Secretary of the Utah Rental Association for many years.

She enjoyed golf, archery, boating, scuba diving, and more recently creating diamond art. Her love of archery led to her appointment as Secretary for the Utah Valley Archery Club.

She loved traveling and to be surrounded by her family and friends. She and Barry flew their plane together in their early years.

Jan will be remembered with love by those who knew her. She is survived by her husband Barry, her sons Keith Hortman, Kevin (Tracie) Hortman; her brother and three sisters, Christie (Bert) Knust, Gayle (Randy) Millhollen, Carol Williams, and Greg (Myrna) Williams; a sister-in-law, Ann Williams; four grandchildren, Jeremy (Dawn) Hortman, Ashley (Jake) Hoffman, Austin (Ashley) Hortman, Jordyn (Josh) Knighton; and seven great-grandchildren, Kamberlee, Paisley, Jaiden, Copelan, Nixxon, Nash, Garrett, and Hayden.

Jan is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Mark Williams.
