IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jane Curtis
Anderson
August 23, 1945 – June 29, 2024
Jane Curtis Anderson
Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Jane Curtis Anderson, 78, of Lake Shore passed away peacefully on June 29, 2024. Jane was married to her best friend Tim for 56 years. They loved living on their farm, spending time in Beaver Dam with Hal and Setta, camping in Fairview, riding side-by-sides, and traveling with friends. Grandma and Grandpa were their grandkids "biggest supporters." Whether it was a sporting event, dance recital, art show, rodeo, or graduation, they were always there cheering the grandkids on!
A proud graduate of Spanish Fork High School, Jane dedicated her professional life to helping others. She worked as a dental assistant with Dr. Richard Johnson in Spanish Fork and later served as a secretary at Springville Middle School and Mapleton Junior High School. Her commitment to her community extended to her role as an EMT, where she served on the Spanish Fork Ambulance for over ten years!
Jane was known for her unconditional love and kindness. She was a safe haven for students and an advocate for those in need. Jane's grandchildren were the light of her life. She delighted in hosting fun sleepovers, eating at Glades, and taking them on shopping sprees at Toys R Us. She had many lifelong friends, and was a member of "club," for over 60 years! Her outgoing personality, adventurous spirit, and tendency to bend the rules (just a little), made her an unforgettable presence in our lives.
Jane was a spunky lady! She was empowered, friendly, confident, and positive. She had a great sense of style and was known for never wearing the same outfit twice throughout a school year. Artistically gifted, Jane enjoyed crocheting baby blankets, creating diamond dots, decorating, and solving Sudoku puzzles.
Her superpower was being an exceptional listener and helping everyone feel valued and seen. Jane's intuition, compassion, and positive energy were a source of light to those around her. She leaves behind a void that cannot be filled but also a memory that will continue to inspire and uplift all who knew her.
She will be greatly missed by her children RaShel (Trent) Shepherd, Anisa (Aaron) Ewell, and Brandon (Suanne) Anderson, 18 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Jane was preceded in death by her son Jeremy Anderson, husband Tim (Arlyn) Anderson, parents Cecil Johnson Curtis and J. Wilburn Curtis and her siblings Howard Curtis, Zola Curtis Gilner, Chub Curtis, and Paul J. Curtis. We can only imagine her happy reunion with her son Jeremy, husband Tim, and her beloved family members.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, July 7, 2024 from 6:00-8:00 pm and Monday, July 8, 2024 from 9:30-10:45 am at the Lake Shore church building (5916 South 3200 West, Lake Shore). Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am.
