Nancy Jane Smith
1951 – 2021
Nancy Jane Smith, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend, passed away August 8, 2021. She was born September 23, 1951 in Provo, Utah to George Brooks Robins and Ethel Hardman Robins. She attended schools in Provo, graduating from Provo High in 1970. She then attended Utah Tech. College where she received her Associates Degree in data processing.
Jane met the love of her life, Daniel Mahlon Smith and the two were sealed for time and all eternity on June 23, 1972 in the Salt Lake City Temple. They recently celebrated 49 years of marriage. They were blessed with seven children.
Jane loved to crochet, do puzzles, play games, garden, read, and completing crosswords. She worked as a crossing guard and crossing guard supervisor for 25 years in Orem City. She loved her family and found great joy in her grandchildren. She was loving, kind, a teacher, and always willing to serve other and lend a hand. She enjoyed serving in many ward and stake callings for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Jane is survived by her loving husband Daniel, 7 children: Michael (Lori), Jennifer (Matiu), George (Sharylann), Kimberlee (Dustin), Candace (Matt), Deborah (R.J.) and Jonathan. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, and two brothers: Don and Jack (Vickie).
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, August 18, 2021, 11:00 a.m. in the Timpview 2nd Ward, 865 West 1000 North, Orem. Family and friends may visit Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North, Orem, or Wednesday morning at the church from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Orem City Cemetery.
