Janet Marcia Stringham Billings

1926 - 2024

Janet Marcia Stringham Billings, age 97 years young, passed away January 30, 2024 in Provo, Utah. She was born October 6, 1926 in Pasco, Washington to Luther Lyal and Jennie Rebecca Warren Stringham. She married Russell McBeth Billings on September 5, 1948. They were married for 60 years.

While attending BYU in Provo, Utah Janet was chosen as one of the original Cougarettes which became one of her favorite memories. Up until the day she passed away she followed BYU Cougar sports with a passion.

Janet had many talents. She was her husband's dental assistant, a real estate agent, a school teacher, a ski instructor, a master gardener of roses, and a gold medal winner at bridge at the Utah Senior Games.

She is survived by her four loving children, Becky (Mike) Higginson, Mindy (Dave) Maddox, Joanna (Dalton) Driggers, and Russell Billings, 12 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren, sister Joanne Christensen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant sister (Ann Louise), grandchild, and two great grandchildren.
