On August 22, 2020, Jean Marie Anderson Litchfield, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, peacefully went to heaven to join her husband, parents and five siblings, four of which died before she was born.
Jean was born January 7, 1933 in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. Her loving parents were Lewis LeRoy and Esther Adelia Anderson. As a young woman, she attended BYU and LDS Business College, and she later married her childhood sweetheart, Glen Reese Litchfield, on September 22, 1954 in the Cardston, Alberta LDS Temple. Jean was a devoted church member, where she served in many capacities throughout her life. Jean will be deeply missed by friends and family.
She is survived by four daughters, Lori and Ronald Lakey, Alta Loma, Calif, Valerie Litchfield, Salt Lake City, Julee Litchfield, South Jordan, Utah and Amy Litchfield, Orem, Utah, five grandchildren, Nathan and Laurel Lakey, Janae and Topher (Lakey) Dean, and Renee and Lewis (Lakey) Walther, Eric Bowers and Aubree Wilson, and nine great grandchildren, Eli and Westley Lakey, Brierly, Ryker, Daniel and Benjamin Walther, and Connor, William and Finley Dean.
At her request, a simple graveside service was held Friday, August 28, at the Orem City Cemetery. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the wonderful staff at Covington Senior Living in Lindon, Utah and Tender Care Hospice for all the loving care they gave to our mother.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
